This toolkit is intended to be a resource guide for teachers, administrators and college faculty in Marketing-related fields. Resources are added and updated regularly and include information regarding the Marketing Career Cluster and corresponding pathways, standards, curriculum, assessment and teaching tools.
What is the Marketing Career Cluster?
Marketing is one of 16 Career Clusters that link what students learn in school with the knowledge and skills they need for success in college and careers. Career clusters identify pathways from secondary school to two- and four-year colleges, graduate school, and the workplace, so students can learn in school what they can do in the future. This connection to future goals motivates students to work harder and enroll in more rigorous courses.
The Marketing Career Cluster is divided into six pathways that are built around the knowledge and skills required of occupations in these career fields. The five Marketing Career Cluster Pathways include:
- Marketing Communications
- Marketing Management
- Marketing Research
- Professional Sales & Marketing
