“Delsea DECA Makes Connections at Community Day”
The Students of the Delsea School Store/DECA were worked their marketing skills on Saturday, September 8, 2012 at Franklinville’s Community Day. With opportunities to donate old jeans, DECA students were busy at work all day.
The “Teens for Jeans” campaign, sponsored by the Delsea DECA SBE (School Based Enterprise) offers the opportunity to donate gently worn jeans to Delsea DECA. The students launched their campaign at community day and will be promoting through the month of October. They will collect and deliver old jeans to a local Aeropostale, to be recycled for teens in need. Students will be accepting donations in the Delsea High School Store through the month of October.
Delsea High School is proud to boast the prestigious DECA gold level certification for its School Based Enterprise. If you would like more information on the community service and fundraising events, or the marketing program offerings at Delsea High School, please visit the Delsea School Store, or contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
Making a Difference:
Mrs. E. Fischer (Delsea Regional High School DECA Advisor) commented that “the students in our DECA chapter freely give their time to community service projects like teens for jeans. Our students learn how to apply the skills they first see in the classroom to solve real-world problems. Our teachers are proud of the contributions our students are making to our community.”
